Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

At Trekmount, we understand that travel plans may change due to unforeseen circumstances. This Refund & Cancellation Policy clearly explains the terms under which bookings can be cancelled and refunds are processed.

By booking with Trekmount, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Booking Confirmation

  • A booking is considered confirmed only after receiving the required advance payment.
  • The remaining balance must be paid before the trip start date as communicated during booking.
  • This policy applies only to confirmed bookings.

3. Cancellation by Customer

a) Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges depend on how early you inform us:

  • More than 15 days before departure:
    Refund after deducting administrative and booking charges.
  • 7 to 15 days before departure:
    50% of the total booking amount will be charged as cancellation fee.
  • Less than 7 days before departure:
    No refund will be provided.
  • No Show (failure to join the trip):
    No refund will be applicable.

4. Non-Refundable Components

The following components are generally non-refundable:

  • Hotel bookings
  • Transport arrangements (bus, taxi, etc.)
  • Permits and entry fees
  • Third-party services

These costs will be deducted from any applicable refund amount.

5. Cancellation by Trekmount

Trekmount reserves the right to cancel or modify a trip due to unavoidable circumstances, including:

  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Natural disasters (landslides, floods, etc.)
  • Government restrictions or permit issues
  • Safety concerns

In such cases:

  • An alternative trip or rescheduling option may be offered, OR
  • A partial refund may be processed after deducting actual expenses incurred

6. Refund Process

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted via email or WhatsApp.
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method or a mutually agreed alternative.
  • Payment gateway or transaction charges may be deducted.

7. Rescheduling Policy

  • Customers may request to reschedule their trip instead of cancelling.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and operational feasibility.
  • Additional charges may apply.
  • Last-minute rescheduling may not be accepted.

8. Force Majeure

Trekmount shall not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events beyond our control, including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Weather disruptions
  • Pandemics
  • Government orders or restrictions
  • Strikes or roadblocks

In such cases, refunds may not be guaranteed, but we will try to provide alternatives such as rescheduling or travel credits.

9. Early Departure / Unused Services

  • No refund will be provided for any unused services after the trip has started.
  • This includes missed accommodation, transport, meals, or activities.

10. Third-Party Services

  • Trekmount works with third-party vendors for hotels, transport, and other services.
  • Any refund related to such services depends on the respective provider’s policies.
  • Trekmount is not liable for delays or service failures caused by third parties.

  • Refund timelines may vary depending on banking and payment gateways.
  • All decisions regarding refunds will be made in accordance with this policy.
