Overview
Located at the altitude of around 14435ft in the Uttarakashi district of Uttarakhand, the Bhradsar lake is a sacred lake falling at the border of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh connecting two beautiful states, between the Rupin valley and the Supin valley of west Garhwal region. This moderate to difficult 52 km trek, suitable for beginner to experienced trekkers will take you through pristine meadows, oak and pine forest, and with a breathtaking view of mountains surrounding the lake. The bowl shaped lake surrounded by mountains make it an one time must have experience for all the nature lovers. This trek also take you through offbeat trails and due to it’s series of ascents it requires good fitness level for making the journey memorable. The best time to visit this trek is post monsoon starting from may and continuing till september or spring season to witness beautiful bloomings of wildflowers. The crystal clear blue water of the lake will make you feel serene within yourself.
Day 1: Dehradun to Sarutal lake (Bhitari Village) 230 Kms Drive
Day 2: Sarutal to Badaan (Kulla trek) 8 Kms
Day 3: Badaan (Kulla trek) to Deruadaar 5.6 Kms Trek
Day 4: Deruadaar to Bharadsar 5 Kms
Day 5: Bharadsar to Kulla trek (badang) 13 Kms
Day 6: Badaan to Khanyasani 5 Kms
Day 7: Khanyasani to Dehradun 220 Kms Drive
